Frequently asked

Straight answers.

How removable bollards work, what installation involves, keyed-alike options, council rules and pricing, answered by the people who install them.

How does a removable keyed bollard work?
A steel sleeve is core-drilled and anchored into the concrete. The bollard drops into the sleeve and locks with a key. To open the space, unlock it, lift the bollard out and drop a flush cap into the sleeve. Locking it only takes seconds.
Is every bollard really keyed differently?
Yes. Each lock is unique by default: no master key, no shared keying with other customers. If you're buying several, we can key them alike so one key operates all of them.
What happens if I lose my key?
Contact us with your job details. We can supply replacement keys for your specific lock, or replace the lock barrel if you'd rather start fresh.
Will installation damage my driveway or concrete?
We core-drill a clean, round hole sized to the sleeve, so there are no cracked slabs. Some surfaces do need breaking out first, and we'll tell you before we start if yours is one of them. Done properly it looks factory-finished, and with a flush cap in place you can drive straight over it.
Can I install it myself?
Our bollards are supplied and installed as a package. Getting the sleeve plumb, at depth, and anchored correctly is what makes the bollard secure, so we do it ourselves and stand behind it.
How long does installation take?
Most residential jobs are done within an hour or two. Commercial and multi-bollard installs usually finish the same day, scheduled around your trading or site hours.
Do I need council approval?
Not on private property. Your driveway, car park or warehouse is your call. Bollards on public land (footpaths, nature strips) need council involvement; we'll tell you straight if your job crosses that line.
Are the bollards Australian made?
Yes. Australian steel, manufactured in Australia. That's not a slogan; it's why they survive Australian car parks.
What hours are you available?
We're available 24/7, seven days a week. Call any time and we'll answer or get straight back to you, and we can install outside business hours when that suits your site better.
What areas do you cover?
All of Melbourne and greater Melbourne, every suburb. We also travel further out, including Geelong and the Bellarine. Not sure? Call 0466 822 503.
How much does a bollard cost installed?
It depends on the bollard type, the surface we're drilling and how many you need. Most jobs land in the low hundreds per bollard, installed. Quotes are free, fixed and no-obligation, so the number you're given is the number you pay.
